THE BLOODY ROAD is a road carved into the bodies and territories of its adversaries. It is the opposite of the Wind Road and sibling to the Thorn Road. Its power lies primarily within the speed, agility, and precision of its riders.

origin:

remade from the previous fang regalia by dawson's old mechanic Tadi, its designed specifically for Dawson and functions using central commands from Dawson's nervous system. still contains the bloody armor core and is nicknamed Raptor.

connected at the base of the thigh, the fang regalia is a combination of airtreks and prosthetics. very athletic looking in design. most of its outside "fangs" make up the armor around the boot, with the exception of the largest at the toe. wheels are fairly thin and when out stretched, take on a saw blade appearance. thin metal wires are kept wound up within the sole of the foot and along the side of the leg. when deployed, small spines flex out of the wire to make it barbed.

+ trick one ; the hunt
used to confuse and allude opponents, before the wheels counter-rotate to use Bloody Armor in an attack, the high acceleration releases a sharp, high-pitched screech which causes the adversary to momentarily lose the ability to hear. The victim experiences the after effect of a high ringing in his/her ear followed by 20 - 40 second loss of hearing.

Weakness: Because it happens when the Regalia is initiated, it can't be used more than once a fight and only works when Dawson chooses to activate the Regalia.



+ trick two ; carnivorous
primary attack of the fang regalia, "fangs" slash at the opponent in sharp, vertical slices- carving what are described to look like claw marks into the flesh of his/her skin. This attack is often targeted at the back or chest of the opponent. If successful, the victim experiences a very sudden and agonizing, sharp pain where the carving was made.

Weakness: When the Fang Regalia is activated it automatically begins to put an enormous strain on the body- particularly her thighs. This attack, whether it hits or not, causes sharp pains to the thighs when released. Although the rider can become attuned to these pains, as the attack is continuously used the rider gradually starts to lose their momentum and their body begins to succumb to the pain. Overuse of this attack can cause, specifically for Dawson, permanent damage to whats left of her legs.



+ trick three ; triassic trap
primary defense of the fang regalia, the fang queen rides in a fluid and fast zig-zag formation while simultaneously her fangs cut into the surface she's riding on, creating lacerations and crevices. This technique is often used to take out more than one rider by cutting them off or defend a lead she carries by damaging the arena. Its not meant to cause extensive harm.

Weakness: Using this trick causes strenuous amounts of damage to the wheels of her ATs and if overused, can even cause them to break. Also, as much as it can be a help, during some Parts Wars (specifically D-Ranked), in particular environments or on certain surfaces its unusable.



+ trick four ; extinction
the fang regalia's infinite atmosphere technique, it is performed at a moment when the opposing rider is in free fall or ascension. The fang queen, depending on her position, does either a front flip or back flip towards her adversary. Using the momentum of the move the front fangs of the fang regalia bury and embed themselves into the opponent's body. Simultaneously, fangs deploy beneath her AT's, wrapping and binding her prey mid-air while securing their positions into freefall. With the combined force of the weight of themselves and gravity, the fang queen sends her victim crashing into the ground. She then unlatches her regalia and withdraws her fangs, ending her trick.

The victim often experiences, if the trick is fully successful, severe injuries including broken bones and/or internal bleeding, deep lacerations, and two clear puncture wounds where her regalia embedded itself into his/her body.

Weakness: Using this trick without the accessibility of a tuner does more harm than good. It not only puts an enormous amount of strain on the regalia's user but also severely damages the ATs when performed to its fullest potential. Overusing this move not only could break her ATs, but it also has the potency to paralyze her completely from the waist down. Therefore, without a tuner Dawson sparingly ever uses this trick. If anything, she'll perform something similar but of course, its nothing of the same caliber.

[ HISTORY ]

U P D A T E:

- Dawson has taken more interest in her career and has since been promoted to the lead of a new division in her company. The position focuses on the sponsorship of teams, the selling of parts and ats, and the innovation of new airtrek technology.
- She moved out of her old place and now lives with Conrad in a penthouse apartment downtown, where she operates most of the business from her home.
- Jurassic’s hideout is currently in the process of being repaired and reinvented.
- The fang regalia has also been upgraded.
- Starting to lean in the direction of wanting to make a family, but pushes that aside to continue keeping her directives on improving her side of the company and making Jurassic stronger.

P A S T:
- Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
- Competitively snowboarded up until she was 15, when she suffered a traumatic injury which costed her both legs.
- Successfully completed rehabilitation both psychiatrically and physically, allowing her to finish high school and move onto college.
- Discovered the sport of Storm Riding in college and started riding; only to stop after her parents threatened to quit funding her college if she continued.
- Junior year of college Dawson studied abroad in Japan, where her drive for Storm-riding was renewed due to Tadi and Sigi’s influence.
- After graduation, she was offered a job at the sports company (insert name here) which had its headquarters in Japan. She moved.
- Dawson became more heavily involved with storm riding, created the team Jurassic, and within a years time had become B-ranked. Tadi reconnected with her at that point and proposed to help he take down the fang king.
- Having been victorious, Dawson became the Fang Queen and has since worn the title.

like-family:

Siegfried Gheist: first met when she was abroad. was incredibly persistent in helping her ride, and eventually Dawson let him teach her a little. he was her rival. they became best friends and eventually developed deeper feelings for one another. were in a relationship for a few years before Dawson broke it off due to... reasons she keeps to herself. they went back to being best friends, and still remained heated rivals in almost every aspect of life. now that Sigi has gone back to Germany, Dawson can't help but miss his company.

Trent Wylde: second of the three amigos, he was one of jurassic's first members. one of her closest friends, she trusts him even with her personal life... which is speaking a lot. they go beyond just bonding about only airtreks, and dawson could even say that she loves him in a platonic way. although she doesn't trust him as much as she trusts sigi, Trent means a lot to her. they are more so best bros than rivals.

Basil Stanek: her adopted little dino brother, dawson always feels the need to protect or teach him in one way or another. she respects and enjoys basil's unique character and will personally go after any rider who bullies him. just ask trix.

blast from the past:

Conrad Thorsen: doesn't particularly remember him, but he claims to be one of her old rivals when she snowboarded (more like aspiring rival). met again at a snow festival out in Hokkaido. seems like a gentleman.

Astelle Yupley: one of her old college dorm mates, they shared a couple of classes together but otherwise weren't very close. though, after dawson found out that she had moved to Japan, she asked her about joining Jurassic. they've become closer since then, possibly even friends.

Cougar Franz: lil saber, as dawson used to call her, is one of her childhood friends. they grew apart and stopped talking after their families were done doing business with one another. its been a little over a decade since they've seen each other and have yet to realize they're actually living near one another. small world.

Tadi: he had at one point been one of her closest and more reliable companions, and had been one of the key reasons why she started back up into riding in the first place. despite his regression into a man thirsty for power and his ultimate downfall, dawson will always be thankful for knowing him and the lessons she learned from being his friend.

acquaintances:

Tyler: this guy. doesn't know what to think of him really. first he's sour, then he's sweet. but his pickup lines suck and dawson enjoys throwing them back. she tolerates his annoyance for the amusement she gets out of toying with him from time to time.

Jarrik Sato: likes his company. he seems down to earth enough that they get along pretty well.

Gear: at first, she found him a little immature for her tastes... but after a bit of competing with him, found that hes alright. respects his skill, and enjoys the rush of going head to head with him every once in a while.

Machiko Oiseki: not so much of a connection through airtreks as one through personal likes. doesn't know how the girl thinks of her, but dawson enjoys being able to share a conversation about something other than airtreks with her. also, she takes very good care of chomper. major bonus.

Reve Alway: her current sigi in training, met him when he was the most innocent thing. sees that some of that innocence has been taken away one way or another, but still desires to steer him in the right direction. she will make a future phantom king out of him yet.

Kris Monroet: at the borderline between acquaintance and friend, dawson finds her a good match for trent and approves of them wholeheartedly. she shares a mutual respect for the previous flame queen and enjoys her company.

Zig: one of her fans. in a good way or a bad way, she's not entirely sure. he's quite the pervert, but doesn't judge him based on that... at least, not too critically.

Shepherd Hallows: basil's tuner, she has mixed feelings for him. unsure whether to like or not, he seems determined to prove his worth to basil- which does earn her respect. his determination in helping basil definitely makes dawson's perception of him more positive. but still, shes wary.

Trix: after tadi's death and her discovery that trix was a part of vehemence, dawson has questionable feelings towards them, which are not necessarily bad. being that trix has disappeared though, dawson hadn't had a chance to reconcile... and wonders some times how the lil king is doing.

- Dawson is terrified of water not because she can't swim but because her legs -with the exception of small amounts... like rain- are not water resistant. On top of losing the ability to kick, the weight of her legs drags her down until she detaches them... which, is rather hard to do when you're being dragged under.
